Icon is the fourth studio album by British heavy metal band Paradise Lost, released in 1993. It marked a departure from the death-doom sound of their early work, and was the last album to feature Matthew Archer on drums. Icon was ranked the second best Paradise Lost album on Ranker and Loudwire by fans and critics. Metacritic also gave this album a very respectable 76/100.
Icon is regarded as a 90s heavy metal classic, but is this popular album a worthy addition to our list?
